BAKED GOODS FOR THE GREATER GOOD
The Cakery on First was born out of a love for beautiful cake but it was also always intended to be a joyful way to support the community. Giving back is an important part of our business. Read on to learn more about the ways we’re baking for the greater good and how a portion of what you pay for your cake goes back into the city of Sandpoint.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Money can’t buy happiness but it sure can make way for opportunity. And it can buy cake. For this reason we’ve opted to put a portion of our sales towards funding the hopes, dreams, and unlimited potential of local youth. Specifically, the next generation of female business owners. The Cakery on First’s Future Female Entrepreneur Scholarship is an annual award open to any graduating Sandpoint woman pursuing any field of study at a two-year, four-year, or trade/technical school with the dream of opening her own business or practice someday.
The scholarship is listed in the Lake Pend Orielle School District’s database of 2024 awards. In accordance with LPOSD policy, applications will be due in April with award winners announced in May. There is no GPA requirement to qualify for consideration.
For more information, visit the LPOSD scholarship page or email us through our contact page.
