Serving and storing your cake - Buttercream Layer Cakes
Our Swiss meringue buttercream is made exclusively with grade AA butter and serving temperature makes the difference between a light, silky buttercream and a cold, greasy one . To ensure that your cake is at its very best, it must be served at room temperature. Please follow the serving instructions below:

SLICING YOUR CAKE
Slicing your cake is best done with a thin, sharp knife. Wiping it clean between each cut will make it easier to slice. Pro food styling tip: you can also use a long strand of unflavored dental floss (no mint please) to cut cleanly through the slices. Once your cake is cut, press a clean piece of plastic wrap directly onto the cut side of the cake covering the corners and store as directed above.

Slicing these cakes in a classic birthday slice wedge style is recommended. The custard fillings are a bit soft to be able to follow the buttercream slicing guides above.
